(Doc ID 2384273.1)
Last updated on APRIL 24, 2020
Applies to:
Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.9 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [4.1.12] and laterOracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Linux x86-64
Goal
Currently the output for multipath -ll command shows one of the path as "enabled" instead of "active".
The goal is to set the storage paths to be round-robin/multibus instead of fail-over.
Current output from multipath -ll
ASM_XXXXX (360000970000292604402533032354235) dm-11 EMC,SYMMETRIX
size=182G features='1 queue_if_no_path' hwhandler='0' wp=rw
|-+- policy='round-robin 0' prio=1 status=active Status is active.
| '- 1:0:0:5 sdx 8:80 active ready running
'-+- policy='round-robin 0' prio=1 status=enabled Status is enabled..
'- 2:0:0:5 sdy 133:144 active ready running
All paths should be 'active' and NOT 'enabled' like below:
ASM_XXXXX (360000970000292604402533032354235) dm-11 EMC,SYMMETRIX
size=182G features='1 queue_if_no_path' hwhandler='0' wp=rw
|-+- policy='round-robin 0' prio=1 status=active Status is active.
| '- 1:0:0:5 sdx 8:80 active ready running
'-+- policy='round-robin 0' prio=1 status=active Status is active.
'- 2:0:0:5 sdy 133:144 active ready running
