Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2018

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.2 and later
Linux x86-64
Linux x86

Goal

If the block disk device name is re-allocated upon reboot(/dev/sday to /dev/sdb), will this cause any issues in the future to the Multiple Disk RAID driver(md) device?

Eg.:
[/proc/mdstat]
Personalities : [raid1]
md0 : active raid1 sday1[1] sda1[0]
104320 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md1 : active raid1 sday2[1] sda2[0]
488279488 blocks [2/2] [UU]
