Symptoms
There is 3rd party script being executed by crond multiple times leading to serious load average problem:

crond rule is properly configured for day/time execution.
In /var/log/secure below errors are observed:
Apr 25 01:01:38 test1 crond[18785]: pam_systemd(crond:session): Failed to create session: Connection timed out
Apr 25 01:02:35 test1 crond[18815]: pam_systemd(crond:session): Failed to create session: Connection timed out
Apr 25 01:32:48 test1 crond[21344]: pam_systemd(crond:session): Failed to create session: Connection timed out
