[PCA 2.x / OVM] Oracle VM GUI Connection Error "Too Many Open Manager Connections For User Admin: 100 Active Connections" (Doc ID 2407104.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 24, 2022

Applies to:

Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.3.1 to 2.3.1 [Release 2.0]
Oracle VM - Version 3.4.1 to 3.4.3 [Release OVM34]
Linux x86-64

On Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, possibly making use of Oracle Enterprise Manager, when an administrator attempts to connect to the Oracle VM Manager, the login fails.

When running :

# service ovmm restart

On the primary management node, the problem disappears for a while, but resumes after a time period depending on the number of connections made in that time interval.

The following error is also being reported in the AdminServer.out :

<2018-05-22T01:56:28.643+0000> <Error> <> <BEA-000000> <WS connection rejected - too many open manager connections for user admin: 100 active connections; maximum of 100 allowed per user.>
