Oracle VM Error for Some Operations : pkgrepo didn't return expected value (Doc ID 2412807.1)

Symptoms

Can't disable Override Global Server Update Group setting in Oracle VM manager for a Sparc pool.

OVMAPI_4010E Attempt to send command: package_set_repositories to server: <server name> 2 failed. OVMAPI_4004E Sync command failed on server: <ip address>. Command: package_set_repositories, Server error: org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: <type 'exceptions.RuntimeError'>:pkgrepo didn't return expected value (0,) CMD: /usr/bin/pkgrepo info -H -s http://<server_ip_address>/ovm -p ovmfilter

 

Note: A Similar error can be seen when adding a sparc server to a pool.

Changes

 One or more of the repositories in the GlobalSparcServerUpdateConfiguration is invalid. It could be an unreachable server, address change, repository deleted and other reason.
