Symptoms

On Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, after upgrading a compute node from a previous release to any of the 2.3.x releases, the following kind of message gets logged during the boot sequence :

Jul 3 11:01:48 ovcacn07r1 modprobe: WARNING: Deprecated config file /etc/modprobe.conf, all config files belong into /etc/modprobe.d/

Compute nodes which have been reprovisioned do not exhibit this symptom.
