Symptoms
An Oracle Production Database Server (EC2 instance) running Oracle Linux was unexpectedly rebooted in the AWS Cloud.
The following error was found in the /var/log/messages prior to the reboot:
Jul 19 00:35:40 ec2_instance_name blk_update_request: I/O error, dev xvds, sector xxxxx
