Symptoms

Unable to start a Compute Node using the Oracle VM Manager which fails with the following message:

PCA: Start Compute Node ovcacn32r1 from OVM BUI fails due to:
Description: Start Server: ovcacn32r1

Message: OVMAPI_4010E Attempt to send command: remote_power_on to server: ovcacn14r1 failed. OVMAPI_4004E Sync command failed on server: 192.168.140.13. Command: remote_power_on, Server error: org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: <type 'exceptions.Exception'>:Cannot change power state to on of host 192.168.4.120 using lan/lanplus.
