Goal
Best Practices with UEK4 and OFED user space RPMs
The UEK4 R7 Readme (https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E93554_01/E94694/html/uek4-pg3_bxp_g5.html) indicates that the existing OFED tools should get replaced with those provided in the ol6_x86_64_UEKR4_OFED ULN channel.
Questions:
- Are these userspace tools?
- Are these packages a requirement when using the UEK4 in-box Infiniband drivers? Or are they optional?
The customer's use case is Oracle Linux 6 with UEK4 and Oracle 11.2.0.4 RAC utilizing Infiniband network for the private network.
