Goal

The recommended configuration on Exadata database machines is to disable reverse path filtering on all InfiniBand interfaces.

However, this can cause intefere with routing if there is a server on a different network that needs to communicate with the Exadata database node. In this case, with default settings, the database server may try to respond on a different interface to the one it receives traffic on.
