Symptoms
Having recently installed third-party TrendMicro security software on Oracle Linux, the server fails to start.
During boot up, the server continually experiences a kernel bug()/system panic loop presenting console messages such as the following:

TrendMicro Security software was installed immediately prior to the system failing to start.
