Symptoms

Unable to change mtu to a value > 1500 when running UEK5 kernel like 4.14.35-1818.3.3.el7uek.x86_64

# ip link set eth0 mtu 9000
RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument


# ethtool -k eth0 | grep sca
 scatter-gather: off
     tx-scatter-gather: off
     tx-scatter-gather-fraglist: off [fixed]
