Oracle Linux: How To Set "uid" and "gid" Attributes on Multipath in OL5, 6 & 7 (Doc ID 2483963.1)

Goal

This document is to explain if  "uid" and "gid" attributes can be used for multipath device configuration under Oracle Linux 6 as on Oracle Linux 5.

These values are used for

  uid= (RHEL/OL 5.3 and later) The user ID to use for the multipath device nodes. Use the numeric user ID. The default value is determined by the process.

  gid = (RHEL/OL 5.3 and later) The group ID to use for the multipath device nodes. Use the numeric group ID. The default value is determined by the process.
