Oracle Linux: Copy Large Files To Samba Share Fails with "Input/output error" (Doc ID 2490169.1)

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.7 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [2.6.39] and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

Fail to copy large file (>1M size) to Samba share on Oracle Linux 6 server:

# cp file_large_than_1M  /cifs_mount/
cp: closing `/cifs_mount/file_large_than_1M'
Input/output error

 Files smaller than 1 MB can be copied on the Samba share.

 CIFS server is on NetApp Filer:

Storage Version : NetApp Release 9.3P8 (CMODE)

UEK2 kernel on Oracle Linux server: 2.6.39-400.250.11.el6uek.x86_64
