Goal

An Oracle Linux 7 server running the Unbreakable Linux Kernel (UEK) is connected to remote SAN storage via Broadcom/Emulex Fiber Channel (FC) Host Bus Adapters (HBAs).
Having added additional storage LUNs, the Oracle Linux 7 server is unable to detect any more than 256 devices.
This article describes how to configure Oracle Linux 7 UEK to detect more than 256 storage LUNs.
