Goal

The goal of this document is to provide the steps about adding new IPTables chains on Oracle Linux.

IPTables Chains are lists of rules which are followed in order, each table contains a number of built-in chains and may also contain user-defined chains.

 

There are 3 default chains  on Linux, after that users can create custom chains.

 

Note: This is also applicable to Ubuntu Servers.
