After running yum(8) update on the server and installating 4.14.35-1844.2.5.el7uek.x86_64 kernel, system can not reboot into the new kernel.
1. The boot process hangs. Ultimately, the reboot will be terminated by the watchdog.
The following message can be seen on the screen before the system boot.
Apart from this, there is no other errors or warnings in the other system logs.
2. The Oracle CRS DB cluster is also running on the server, and it is also enabled in the boot process.
If Oracle CRS service is disabled in the boot process, the boot hang issue will disappear. The Linux can boot normally. The Oracle CRS can be started after the Linux boot.
