Ulimits Set Are Not Reflected as per /etc/security/limits.conf File When Logged As Oracle User Direrctly (Doc ID 2528211.1)

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.7 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [2.6.39] and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

When logged in as oracle user in a putty session directly the ulimits set for oracle user does not show the correct values set as per /etc/security/limits.conf file when verified using "ulimit -a"
but when logged as other user and do #sudo su - oracle, correct values are displayed as per /etc/security/limits.conf file
