Oracle Linux 5.8 UEK2 Hung While Attempting To Re-Connect To CIFS Share (Doc ID 2547979.1)

Oracle VM - Version 3.2.8 and later
Linux x86-64


The Linux VM running OL5.8 UEK2 VM went un-responsive after losing connection to a CIFS share.
The Linux VM reported cpu spike in SAR reports before hung.
The OVM Server did not record any abnormal load or issues at that time.
