Symptoms

When attempting to run kubernetes upgrade script, it fails with the following error occurs.

# kubeadm-upgrade.sh backup
k8s 1.10 image: v1.10.5-2 k8s 1.11 image: v1.11.3-2 k8s 1.12 image: v1.12.7
/usr/bin/kubeadm-upgrade.sh: line 59:
/var/log/kubeadm-upgrade/k8s-upgrade-2019-05-21-02:01:50.log: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/kubeadm-upgrade.sh: line 17:
/var/log/kubeadm-upgrade/k8s-upgrade-2019-05-21-02:01:50.log: No such file or directory


The issue can be reproduced by running upgrade script

# kubeadm-upgrade.sh
