Cannot List Or Install UEK Kernel When Running "yum install/list kernel-uek" (Doc ID 2556173.1)

Symptoms

When using yum to list newer versions available or to install UEK Kernel, either using ULN or local yum mirror server, no information is displayed even when the proper channels are added or enabled.

We may get the following errors:

[user@hostname ~]$ yum list kernel-uek
Loaded plugins: security
Error: No matching Packages to list

[user@hostname ~]$ sudo yum install kernel-uek
Loaded plugins: security
Setting up Install Process
No package kernel-uek available.
Error: Nothing to do

 

Changes

No changes made to the system.
