Goal
Occasionally, it may be necessary to add additional swap space to an Oracle Linux (OL) system.
This can typically be accomplished via several means e.g.:
- adding a new separate swap device - whether as a file or using an entire device
- recreating or extending an existing swap device whether based on LVM or not
This document specifically describes the expansion of an existing LVM-based swap device.
