Oracle Linux: /var/log/secure reports 'PAM Adding Faulty Module: /usr/lib64/security/pam_fprintd.so' (Doc ID 2613608.1)

Symptoms

 In /var/log/secure, the below messages can be observed especially when doing "su":

Nov 20 14:50:01 <hostname> crond[22216]: PAM unable to dlopen(/usr/lib64/security/pam_fprintd.so): /usr/lib64/security/pam_fprintd.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Nov 20 14:50:01 <hostname> crond[22216]: PAM adding faulty module: /usr/lib64/security/pam_fprintd.so

Changes

 RPM packages fprintd and fprintd-pam are not present on the system - either recently removed/uninstalled, or were never installed.
