Last updated on FEBRUARY 18, 2020

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.7 and later

Symptoms

A server was upgraded to Oracle Linux 6.7, with a reinstall of the SDM application NNC81_1.

This application had previously been working prior to the upgrade of the OS on the server.

However after the upgrade, the application was unable to add SBC devices via the SDM Device Manager, with the following error logged when trying add an SBC device:

Error occurs in processing data. Failed to validate Device Group '<DEVICE_GROUP_NAME>' for Network Function '<DEVICE_GROUP_NAME>'. The Telnet protocol service encountered an unknown error. Reason: Connection refused.

Changes

The server was upgraded to Oracle Linux 6.7 and the SDM application was then reinstalled.
