[PCA 2.x] Virtual Machine (VM) does not startup due to "locked" status
(Doc ID 2629166.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2024
Applies to:
Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.3.3 to 2.4.4.3 [Release 2.0]Linux x86-64
Symptoms
1. You are unable to startup a Virtual Machine (VM) from the OVM Manager web interface GUI.
For example, the AdminServer.log from the Active Management Node shows:
Note the following fields from the output above:
"Status = "
"Server = "
"Locked = "
If the field "Status = Stopped", then there is a stale lock.
If the field "Locked = true", then VM is in a locked state.
The "Server = " should show the last CN (Compute Node) the VM was running on.
