[PCA 2.x] Newly Cloned Shares on External ZFS Storage are not Discovered Correctly in OVM Manager (Doc ID 2634883.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 12, 2025

Applies to:

Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.3.4 and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

After ZFS shares are cloned, the resulting NFS storage repository created that is contained within the cloned share, is then refreshed within the Oracle VM Manager.

However, the OVM Manager fails to display the cloned share. Thus, the new repository, contained within the share, will not exist within the Oracle VM Manager.

These repositories are showing in a different location in the OVM Manager, for the clone which is not mounted.

Another symptom was after the refresh of the newly cloned repository, the quota sizes on ZFS5 were vastly incorrect (larger than capacity of the disks).
