PCA X8-2 New Installation May Not Resolve Compute Node IP Address (Doc ID 2647330.1)

Last updated on JULY 14, 2020

Applies to:

Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.4.2 to 2.4.2 [Release 2.0]
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

On new deployed PCA X8-2 rack with 2.4.2 software, management node may not able to resolve compute nodes' IP address from hostname.

Meanwhile hostname of compute node with trailing period added can be resolved.

This also happens when trying to resolve other PCA components' IP address, including Cisco switch.
