Symptoms

Can't create a virtual disk, can't refresh the repository. All operations involving a particular repository fail with the following error:

OVMAPI_4010E Attempt to send command: set_repository_meta to server: <OVS_hostname> failed. OVMAPI_4004E Sync command failed on server: <OVS_host_IP_address>. Command: set_repository_meta, Server error: org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: <type 'exceptions.ValueError'>:Extra data: line 1 column 102 - line 1 column 110 (char 102 - 110) [Thu Apr 09 11:18:53 CEST 2020]

Ovs-agent.log shows the following symptom:
