Oracle Linux: Reboots Continuously with Error "early console in setup code / Probing edd (edd=off to disable)... ok " (Doc ID 2664829.1)

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.10 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [4.1.12] and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

New install start crashing after an "yum update" and now the server reboots and never stops.

After check notice, the server is not able to boot up with all the UEK4.  But it is able to boot with RHCK.

 

Also, if the server is just rebooting without error logs, Please run the troubleshooting of the "NOTE 1" of the Cause section to troubleshoot more the booting issue.

Changes

 Yum Update or Microcode upgrade.
