Why DNS Records are not Resolved from the Entries in /etc/hosts file ? (Doc ID 2669319.1)

Symptoms

Although the domain name entry exists in /etc/hosts file, nslookup query or ping returns the ip address from the DNS server. The entry in the /etc/hosts file is ignored.

 

Changes

 New nodes are added to the OCFS2 cluster.
