Symptoms

On var/log/messages, there are a lot of kernel: sd x:x:x:x: timing out command, waited 20s. Writing to disk time is increasing significantly during that time.

Example:

Apr 4 06:30:43 kernel: sd 1:0:6:0: timing out command, waited 20s
Apr 5 06:30:42 kernel: sd 1:0:6:0: timing out command, waited 20s
Apr 6 06:30:42 kernel: sd 1:0:6:0: timing out command, waited 20s
