NIC Interface on Virtual Machine is Getting Hanged with Detected Tx Unit Hang AND Reset adapter (Doc ID 2670019.1)

Symptoms

Virtual Machine is getting their interfaces hung with multiple messages in /var/log/messages.


Checking the Interface logs is visible the following errors during time frame of the issue:

May 6 12:05:36 <Hostname> kernel: [13327879.433039] e1000 0000:02:00.0 eth0: Detected Tx Unit Hang
May 6 12:05:38 <Hostname> kernel: [13327881.440989] e1000 0000:02:00.0 eth0: Detected Tx Unit Hang
May 6 12:05:39 <Hostname> kernel: [13327882.351230] e1000 0000:02:00.0 eth0: Reset adapter
May 6 12:05:39 <Hostname> kernel: [13327882.395900] e1000: eth0 NIC Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: None
