Mountpoints are RO, After a reboot the OS is Falling to Emergency Mode (Doc ID 2670448.1)

Symptoms

On a system running Oracle Linux 6.X and mounting external SAN attached storage

Some external mount points fail to mount

# mount -a
mount: special device /dev/<volgrp-volume2> does not exist
mount: special device /dev/<volgrp-volume4> does not exist

On reboot the system is falling to Maintenance Mode:


Welcome to Maintenance Mode
Give root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D to continue):_ 

 

 

 

Changes

The /etc/fstab entries for the mountpoints were changed and not tested.
