OVM : OVM CLI "Permission denied, please try again." (Doc ID 2688820.1)

Symptoms

 After some failed attempt(s), OVM CLI via ssh port 10000 asks for the password, but gets permission denied.

Port is listening

# lsof -i :10000
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE/OFF NODE NAME
java 6445 oracle 96u IPv6 55300 0t0 TCP *:ndmp (LISTEN)

The password works in the OVM GUI web interface of the OVM Manager, but not in the OVM CLI.

# ssh -l admin localhost -p 10000
admin@localhost's password: Permission denied, please try again.
