Symptoms

sysctl unable to write under /proc 

sysctl -p cant write:
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/icmp_echo_ignore_broadcasts: No such file or directory
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_fin_timeout: No such file or directory
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_max_syn_backlog: No such file or directory
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_syncookies: No such file or directory
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_timestamps: No such file or directory

files are missing.


Changes

 Kernel upgrade from 4.14.35-1902.9.2.el7uek.x86_64 to 4.14.35-2020.el7uek.x86_64.
