Symptoms
In a KVM cluster managed by a self hosted engine virtual machine, it is noticed that the self hosted engine VM can not be live migrated to other hosts due to the "No available host to migrate to" error.
Changes
This error can be noticed when,
- The system admin wants to upgrade the self hosted engine's underlying KVM host.
- The system admin wants to put the self hosted engine's underlying KVM host to maintenance mode to make some changes to the same.
- The system admin wants to test the self hosted engine VM's live migration.
