Oracle Linux 7 UEK6: NFS Mount Hangs When Editing Files on NFS Share Over IPoIB (Doc ID 2712649.1)

Symptoms

When editing files on an NFS share mounted over Internet Protocol over Infiniband (IPoIB) on Oracle Linux 7 (OL7) running Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 6 (UEKR6, 5.4.17-*), access to the NFS share hangs.

The issue only occurs for NFS shares mounted over IPoIB.

 

Changes

 The issue occurs after upgrading the kernel to UEKR6 (5.4.17-*) and/or configuring NFS over IPoIB on UEKR6.
