Oracle Linux: How to Set Sendmail Client to Authenticate with SASL (Doc ID 2757260.1)

Goal

To set up a Sendmail client using SMTP authentication(SMTP AUTH) with SASL(Simple Authentication and Security Layer) mechanism. The SASL authentication is done by using the Cyrus-SASL libraries.

There are other alternate options like using postfix and not sendmail, and for the SASL the Dovecot SASL instead of the Cyrus.
