Oracle Linux: xfs_repair Fails with "couldn't verify primary superblock - not enough secondary superblocks with matching geometry" (Doc ID 2758958.1)

Symptoms

Running xfs_repair fails with below error. The below file system is on disk sdc.

  
  • Removed old disk sdc from vg_u1 VG using vgreduce command.

  • Then tried to run fsck and it gave the above mentioned error.
