[PCA] System Properties are not Updated on Passive Management Node After Setting it from Active Management Node (Doc ID 2789422.1)

Last updated on JULY 07, 2021

Applies to:

Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.4.4 to 2.4.4 [Release 2.0]
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

1) In active Management Node set system-property via CLI

PCA> set system-property timezone Asia/Calcutta

2) Wait for sometime for this to get sync'd to other components

3) Check system properties on passive Management Node. It still shows older data.

PCA> show system-properties
----------------------------------------
HTTP_Proxy None
HTTPS_Proxy None
FTP_Proxy None
Log_File /var/log/ovca.log
Log_Level DEBUG
Log_Size (MB) 250
Log_Count 5
Timezone Etc/UTC <<<<< This is wrong
(snip)
----------------------------------------
Status: Success
PCA>

But the date command shows the changed time.

[root@ovcamn06r1 ~]# date
Wed Mar 3 13:57:56 IST 2021

The active Management Node shows it correctly.

PCA> show system-properties
----------------------------------------
HTTP_Proxy None
HTTPS_Proxy None
FTP_Proxy None
Log_File /var/log/ovca.log
Log_Level DEBUG
Log_Size (MB) 250
Log_Count 5
Timezone Asia/Calcutta <<<<< This is correct
(snip)
----------------------------------------
Status: Success
