Symptoms

An Oracle Linux KVM host (Oracle Exadata with Image version of 20.1.8.0.0.210317 and a kernel version of 4.14.35-1902.306.2.2.el7uek.x86_64 in this instance), runs multiple guest Virtual Machines (VMs).

One or more Oracle Linux 7.9 KVM guests occasionally experience system hang and kernel panic.

Messages such as the follwing are reported to the guest system log - /var/log/messages:
