Symptoms

NFS client returns the error "NFS: v4 server returned a bad sequence-id error on an unconfirmed sequence ffffa0557ebf6820". The NFS loses connection between client and server. NFS version used is 4.0.

The NFS server is ZS storage

Following messages are shown from the NFS client

 

NFS4ERR_BAD_SEQID meaning
The sequence number in a locking request is neither the next expected number or the last number processed.
