Oracle VM: High "sys%" CPU Usage in Guest OS After VM Is Live Migrated to New OVM Server (Doc ID 2799995.1)

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.0 and later
Oracle VM - Version 3.0.1 and later
x86_64

Symptoms

The issue normally starts after the Virtual Machine(VM) is migrated to a new/different Oracle VM (OVM) Server.

The CPU "sys%" usage becomes very high which causes system's "load average" become very high also. However the "usr%" usage is not high.

 

Before live migration,

The issue VM is live migrated from one server to another.
