Oracle VM: Unable to install Oracle VM Manager with UUID (Failed to reset password or root user for MySQL Database 5.6) (Doc ID 2846716.1)

Symptoms

 Unable to install Oracle VM Manager with the UUID as per KM document:

>>Oracle VM:Reinstall OVM Manager Without Data Loss And Without Disturbing Running VM Guests By Reusing The OVM Manager UUID (Doc ID 2359492.1)

The installation fails as follows:

Start installing Oracle VM Manager:
1: Continue
2: Abort

Select Number (1-2): 1

Step 1 of 7 : Database Software ...
Installing Database Software...
Retrieving MySQL Database 5.6 ...
Unzipping MySQL RPM File ...
Installing MySQL 5.6 RPM package ...
Configuring MySQL Database 5.6 ...
Failed to reset password or root user for MySQL Database 5.6

/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)'

Changes

The OVM Manager 3.4.6 was uninstalled with the help of the steps mentioned in the above Knowledge document and the installation with the UUID fails
