Goal

This document explains the steps to migrate the IPA server from Oracle Linux 7 to Oracle Linux 8.  In-place upgrade for IPA server from OL7 to OL8 is not recommended.

 Configuring a new OL8 IPA server and adding it as a replica to your current OL7 IPA environment
 Making the OL8 server the certificate authority (CA) renewal server.
 Stopping the generation of the certificate revocation list (CRL) on the OL7 server and redirecting CRL requests to OL8.
 Stopping and decommissioning the original OL7 CA renewal server
