Last updated on SEPTEMBER 25, 2023

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 8.5 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [5.4.17] and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

On Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager 4.4 with Oracle Linux 8 KVM host, OLVM console shows "Update available":
Check for available updates on host <ol8kvm> was completed successfully with message 'perl-Pod-Perldoc.src, perl-Term-Cap.src, perl-Text-ParseWords.src, perl-Pod-Usage.src, perl-Carp.src, perl-Getopt-Long.src, perl-parent.src, perl-Exporter.src, perl-podlators.src, perl-File-Path.src and 7 others. To see all packages check engine.log.'.

But "dnf upgrade" finds nothing to do:
