OLVM 4.4: Disable CPU C-State in KVM host (Doc ID 2908445.1)

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 8.5 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [5.4.17] and later
Linux x86-64


Disable C-State is a must as fully waking up a power-saving state CPU takes time, potentially causing delays.
Option of enabling and disabling CPU C-State is offered in BIOS.
Previously there was known bugs that BIOS fails to pass such information to GRUB, leading to unexpected performance issues.
It is recommended to also disable the same from kernel.
