Oracle Linux : ulimit -n Command Not Showing The Correct Value Which is Defined in /etc/security/limits.d/20-nproc.conf (Doc ID 2917344.1)

Symptoms

When logged in as <user1> user in a putty session, the ulimits set for <user1> user not reflecting the correct values set as per /etc/security/limits.d/20-nproc.conf file when verified using "ulimit -n" , but when logged as other user and do #su - <user2>, correct values are displayed as per /etc/security/limits.d/20-nproc.conf file.
