Purpose

Overview

Since Oracle's acquisition of Ksplice Inc. in 2011, Oracle has maintained a standalone Ksplice service for the customers who originally obtained the Ksplice zero-downtime live patching service from Ksplice Inc., to keep their Linux systems secure and up to date for more than 10 years.

Over that time Oracle Ksplice has been fully integrated with Oracle Linux Premier Support and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure subscriptions, which is how almost all of our Linux customers now purchase the Ksplice service. Because of this change in the market and pursuant to the Ksplice Uptrack Subscription Agreement, this standalone Ksplice service is no longer offered after January 31, 2023.
