OLVM: VM Serial Console Not Working in OLVM 4.4 (Doc ID 2926880.1)

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 8.6 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [5.4.17] and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

The public key was correctly added to the user in the OLVM Admin portal but accessing the VM console service fails with the following error:

   # ssh -t -p 2222 ovirt-vmconsole@localhost -i .ssh/serialconsolekey
   ovirt-vmconsole@localhost: Permission denied (publickey).



Trying to list the keys with the command ovirt-vmconsole-list.py fails (no output):

      # /usr/libexec/ovirt-vmconsole-proxy-helper/ovirt-vmconsole-list.py --version "1" keys
   << no output >>

 

Changes

New OLVM 4.4 Installation.
Or OLVM was upgraded from 4.3 to 4.4.
